Recently my mom's good friend Deepak Chopra released a new book called Super Brain. I read it and it is super. I have always been fascinated by the human brain, and for the last 15 years I have read quite a bit on neuroscience and brain research. Quite simply, the human brain is the most magnificent and sophisticated computer in existence. Even the world's most advanced computer is nothing next to the brain. Yet why do we place so much trust in computers and not in ourselves?
After all, even the most powerful computers are only Intelligent Idiots. Why? Because a computer can only do what you tell it to do, and it can only do that because someone programmed it to do so. But the human brain is not like that at all. In fact, it is always doing things for us that we didn't consciously ask it to do. Each of our 50 trillion cells are performing 6 billion actions every second, and without this incredibly complex and dazzling orchestration of actions, we would simply not be able to do many of the things we take for granted, like eating, digesting, walking, talking, thinking, breathing...
Not only does our brain execute all these processes for us simultaneously, it does so effortlessly and with absolute precision and mastery. For me this is Magical. I am in Awe of this. But what is even more awesome to me is that we are only using about 10% of our brains, so what on earth can the remaining 90% do? This question is always with me.. And perhaps one day I will live to see the answer..
There is no doubt that we are all in possession of a Magical Brain, but are we capable of using it to live a Magical Life?

Great Questions, Great Answers.
I have always believed in the power of asking questions, especially to yourself. In my life I have experienced many transformations and generated many insights from asking the right questions. What are the right questions? It will defer from person to person, but for me the right questions are the ones that will push your boundaries and expand your mind beyond the status quo.
The beauty of asking questions is that they will eventually lead to answers. This is why I say that Great Questions will always lead to Great Answers. Great answers will change your life, and if the answers are great enough, they will change the lives of others. Many of the world's greatest inventions or discoveries were preceded by great questions.
We should always be asking ourselves questions like "Is there a better way to do this?" or "What do I really want as a customer?"... "Am I using technology as well as I should?"... "If I am only using 10% of my brain, then what can I do if I could access the remaining 90%?"... To me these are some of the kinds of questions that will surely lead to solutions and innovations, and surely this is what we collectively want.
If you want Great Answers, ask Great Questions.
